TECHNICAL PAGE... No buyer wants to be surprised by dimensional shortcomings, surface irregularities, or service interruptions. So, for whatever your application, Double T Manufacturing utilizes the most advanced technological equipment and machinery to ensure consistency in the manufacture of its products. Although our manufacturing operations performs its functions using a variety of the above mentioned machinery and equipment, there are three, in particular, that are the more key instruments utilized to ensure optimal performance:

MORTISE AND TENON The prevalent methodology for producing joints in the manufacture of medicine cabinets is simply the practice of "double mitering" the 45 degree corners. While this may "pass muster" during normal assembly, it all too frequently fails the test of transit and installation. For this reason we invested significant capital to avoid this scenario. We utilize a two machine system referred to as "mortise and tenon." The mortise machine provides the female cavity and the tenon produces the male plug. The male is inserted into the female cavity, thus producing an almost inseparable bond that withstands separation pressure throughout the handling process.

ELECTRONIC PANEL SAW Another crucial piece of equipment is the computer programmed electronic panel saw. This machine benefits both productivity (i.e., ability to offer competitive prices) and quality assurance (i.e., dimensional tolerances exceeding the industry norm) objectives. This technological wonder produces uses 3 air flotation tables, thus enabling the processing of several hundred pounds of board without sacrificing safety or quality. The machine feeds and exits tremendous volume of material toward the cutting apparatus previously indexed to your exacting specifications (plus or minus 5000th of an inch).

EDGE BANDING MACHINE This capability provides the desired finished edge to complete the custom look of laminate and substrate applications (e.g., counter tops). This machine accepts the laminate material, applies the appropriate adhesive, processes through compression rollers for optimum bonding characteristics, and completes its cycle by trimming. Thus, what is referred to as "super-finished".
